Happy THANKS-giving!

Tagged--you asked for it--forgive me, Luke!

Okay, I was tagged by Auntie Suzanne and I followed the directions, opened the picture folders (of which I have taken none!) and what I found out is it depends on how the files open, because the first time I searched I got Arnold but when I went to upload, Luke was the fourth file, fourth picture...hmmmm perhaps there is a connection....anyway, that was fun. Now let's see Kate Huntington, Annie, Sarah, and Anna--if they will. Thanks, Marianna, for adding fun to our lives! I cannot believe how young my son looks in this picture. It's kind of cool how he randomly is paired with the terminator :>) (I know, this is the wrong movie!)

Happy, happy birthday, dear daughter! I wish I could create something lovely here to fully represent the wonder and creativity of you, and that would tell you just how much we love and cherish you! However, I can only cry out in a loud voice, Happy, happy birthday! We love you and pray the Lord gives you many, many more years. May this year be one of the best. We are so thankful God gave you to us; it's not just a line: you have blessed our lives beyond measure!

He gives a greater grace

A friend sent me this hymn and Scriptures. I just had to share them with anyone that happens to be reading my blog. I was so blessed by these words; God is so faithful and gives us what we need when we need it!

He gives a greater grace…James 4:

He giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength as our labors increase;
To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials he multiplies peace.

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,

The writer commented that in seeing this verse on wall hanging, he was struck with the verb “IS.”
And He has said to me, "My grace IS sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness."
II Cor. 12:9
God’s grace IS sufficient. Not will be, not can be, not if. It IS.

Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16
