HO HUM

I really wish I had something interesting and profound to say, but I don't. Faith just told me my blogs are boring; that isn't a real incentive for trying to post : > ) However, I figure it is about time I added something! I read all of your blogs with intense interest and pleasure. In blogging one really sees different sides of individuals. Thanks, all for sharing yourselves with us! At least this is an interesting color. I didn't know this was possible until right now.

Sarah and Luke are playing Heroscape right now. She is usually reluctant to commit to a game with him, but he has a way of talking her into it, and as she says, she really enjoys the game once they get going. They do keep things light, Faith; you are correct. Don't mindshackle Dad, though. He does enjoy that phrase, doesn't he?

I have joined a gym and have gone 15 days out of the last 18. I really like it there; it is just GETTING there that is the problem. I am also on this eating program. I asked you all to pray; somebody must be because I am completely incapable of doing this. Please, whoever you are, keep it up! And Hannah, I am praying for you and will continue to do so! You are doing great! I see the loss already, as I told you the other night. Press on!

Enough of that--what color now? How about this? Too like the first paragraph. OK this, then. The retreat was wonderful. Kate was remarkable and so real and honest. Tomorrow, I believe, Damien re-enters the hospital for the new chemo and eventual bone marrow transplant. We are praying that the Father and God of all comfort and compassion (II Corinthians 1:4+) will be very REAL to all of you during this time! The God of the universe loves you.

I think I like green best. Suzanne and I had a great reunion at the Retreat. Everybody thinks we spend all this time together, but we actually only see each other every few months; life is just so busy. That is one of the things I enjoy about the Christian family; you can not see one another for years, and yet when you do get back together, it is just like it always was--or better. Thank you, Lord, for that bond. We did stay up too late talking, though. We are just getting too old for all that late-night, early morning stuff. The walk on the boardwalk was spectacular, too, and I appreciate you joining me for the microwave meal for dinner. That was so neat.

On to red. I think this will be the last paragraph. I need to go make phone calls, but I have this phone phobia. Once I am talking I am fine, but I hate calling people. I think it may be related to the rejection fear I harbor. Oh well. Just do it. I love my family. The last few weeks have been especially sweet with them; I do not know why. It just seems we have snatched more moments as family, talking, yelling, discussing, laughing, and even some hugging. I love you all more than food. (HA HA). I keep thinking how much I am going to miss having Faith live at home next year. She has really been "going" from us for a long while; she is someone who likes to go, so we don't see that much of her anyway. BUT we do see her. She is a remarkable young woman! She will hate seeing this, but I don't really care. I want the world to know! Beautiful, smart, stylish, helpful, funny, thoughtful and thought-provoking, a challenge, God-loving and God-honoring, supportive, empathetic, deep, and the list could go on and on...there will be a huge whole in my heart and life when she moves to College Park next year. Well! Enough of all this ramble; perhaps you will find something that kept you from falling asleep. Until next time...

Okay so I just read the whole post and I teared up. You make me cry you write so well. And please can we stop mentioning college park until like next year. It makes me sad to think about leaving all of you. I am going to miss my siblings and parents so much. Man. I am all sad now.

I publically apologize to Faith for misinterpretting her comment about my blog. Why is communication so hard? Ah well. Hannah Rose, thank you so much for the sweet notes you sent Hope and me. That was going the extra mile! And I have joined Slim and Tone on Naylor Mill Rd. I went again today! Yey! What is a gazelle?

To answer Mrs. Sue,

A Gazelle is a little deer like animal that runs around in a herd in Africa.
